Our hearts racing our skates ready to jump on the ice and the game has started. I and my and my defence partner were getting on the ice to start the intense game. The game was going back and forth they scored then we scored. Then the player on the other team was coming down on me with his head down and as every good defenseman does I annihilated the kid into next year. It was a clean shoulder check! But the bad news is was I got an interference penalty. The game just took-off. Caledon scored two goals and we scored one. We out played them in every way but are goaltending was not there so we sadly lost 4-2 and that was our final game of OMHA.

I think the last game of OMHA is important and this is why. Number one because if you win this game you are in the OMHA play down/ Playoff spot and get a trophy. Because winning a big game feels great, losing not so awesome. The most important part is you keep playing hockey till you get kicked out or you win the OMHA which will take about a month to win. If you get kicked out early hockey is almost over for you and that’s my nightmare. So I think the last game of OMHA’s is important to win unless you what hink about not playing hockey!!!

It sounds like a zoo out there. It feels like a critical game to win and looks like one of the biggest games of my life. There was a playoff spot at risk as well. Also the arena was huge; the fans were going crazy cheering for the home team. Going wild like it was an NHL team. Then we got on the ice and it was game on. With the speed and physical play with huge body checks. But the luck did not change to our liking. But the last game of OMHA (Ontario Minor Hockey Association) was the best game I have ever experienced, maybe net year we will win it.

Step two get dressed then jump on the ice and do on ice stretches 1-2 stretches to loosen up for the game time. Step three find out game line ups 9 forwards, 4 defensemen usually I and my defence partner go on the ice to start the game and the other two follow up after us. Last step four jump on the ice for about a minute full speed for a shift. Almost a minute break. Give all speed and energy during ever shift. We get 6-7 shifts a period and every shift try to stop the opposing team from scoring. That the finish of an OMHA game.
