Victoria Surla Persuasive Paragraph If you haven’t been to Wonderland, you’re missing out on a lot! Canada’s Wonderland is definitely one of the most fun places I’ve ever been to. There’s entertainment for all ages, and there are also many rides for young children. It’s mostly very hot and sunny out, but that’s not a problem. There’s even a water park built in to the theme park, in case you ever need to cool down. Also, some of the ride line ups are covered by shade, so while you’re waiting in line for the next thrilling ride, you can escape the sun. Another upside about Canada’s Wonderland is that there are many souvenirs you can win and many food options too. If you’re not in the mood for pizza, you can have a taco, Star Bucks, nachos, funnel cakes, etc. And let’s not forget that Canada’s Wonderland is home to the biggest roller coaster in Canada, “The Behemoth!” You’re probably thinking that this is too good to be true, but after you experience the thrill of Canada’s Wonderland, you’ll know that it really is a breath taking experience. Victoria Surla Descriptive Paragraph
You’ve spent your whole day waiting in humongous line-ups to get onto the next sky scraping roller coaster at Canada’s Wonderland. As the line slowly moves forward, you can feel your heart begin to pound faster and faster. The sun blazing on your skin and the delicious smell of funnel cakes makes the line-up feel much longer than it actually is. Everywhere you look; there are thousands of people of all ages walking towards the next ride. As you take your first steps towards the biggest roller coaster in Canada, “The Behemoth”, you feel as if you can barely breathe. As soon as the ride operator buckles you into your seat and the ride starts moving up the tracks, you know this is it. While slowly heading up into the clear blue sky, you look down on the theme park and now every other colourful roller coaster looks so small. Suddenly, you’re speeding down the roller coaster, filled with laughter and excitement! There’s a reason why they call it Canada’s ‘Wonderland!’ After stepping off of the roller coaster, back onto the hot pavement, you’re finally able to catch your breath again.
Victoria Surla Narrative Paragraph “Click, click, click” I hear while slowly heading up to the top of the biggest roller coaster in Canada, ‘The Behemoth.’ As the sky scraping roller coaster continues to head up higher and higher into the clear blue sky, I can’t help but panic. “We’re not even half way up yet, and you’re already freaking out!” my friend giggled. I didn’t respond to her. “Oh come on! Everything’s going to be fine! Live a little!” she said. “Let’s just stop talking about it and get this over with.” I sighed. As the roller coaster finally approached the top, all I could do was close my eyes and wait for this to be over. “Click, click, click”
Victoria Surla Expository Paragraph A day at Canada’s Wonderland is always much more fun if you’re prepared. For instance, if you don’t bring sunscreen, you’ll resemble a tomato for about a week! And if you don’t wear comfortable shoes, you may not be able to walk the next day. While you’re at Wonderland, you are always walking around, and you’re day will be much more enjoyable if you’re feet don’t hurt. Another thing you must bring with you is a backpack and at least several bottles of water. It’s very easy to get dehydrated when you’re exposed to the blazing hot sun all day long. Also, you will want to bring lots of money with you. The food at the amusement park is very expensive, and there are also many souvenirs you may want to purchase. Last but not least, you will want to bring a bathing suit with you. There is also a water park at the theme park, and if you don’t bring a bathing suit, you will miss out on wave pools, water slides, and more! If you bring all of these things with you, you’re definitely set for an incredible day at Canada’s Wonderland.
