You can smell the fresh cut grass and feel the windy breeze around you. You can feel the soft mud that squishes between the spikes on your cleats as you step onto the field. You can hear the fans cheering when your team scores an almost impossible goal. The stadium lights convert the field into a whole new world. The banners of the different teams and towns wave proudly. There are bright colored jerseys all around, varying from greens, to oranges, to blues, to neon’s. The ball is powerfully kicked, passed, and thrown. The field sounds loud and the teams look confident. The bright field is as green as green can be. Now the field is quiet not a sudden movement, until tomorrow where the grass is freshly cut and windy breeze is there. Tomorrow the field will yet again be alive.

Narrative Paragraph

Warm-ups had just finished. The game was about to begin. I was on the field as a defender ready to go. Before I knew it, the referee blew the whistle! My forward started with the ball. She passed to the next forward and from there she passed it to our midfielder and then she passed it to me. I took a one-timer and sent it straight to my forwards feet! From there she took a shot and it went in top corner! GOAL! The fans went crazy. We all rushed to congratulate the goal scorer. We didn’t have much time to celebrate though, as we had to be serious and get right back into the game. Then a second later… the other team scored. Sadly, we kept our heads up and kept fighting. The game and score stayed the same for both halves. 1-1. The score was tied and we had to go into overtime. For ten strong minutes we battled courageously, yet the score was still tied. This meant only one thing, shoot-outs. My coach put out our two strong forwards and our three strong midfields that all usually did well in shoot-outs. The other team shot first. Luckily they missed! We cheered and cheered but forgot that we still had to shoot. We just missed and we were devastated. After that both teams missed and missed again and again. Until it came down to our fifth and last shooter. Finally we scored! That meant if the other team missed we would win! I was so nervous. The other team was up to shoot and… they missed! We won!
Expository Paragraph

Its two hours before the big game and you suddenly panic! How do you possibly prepare? First you should drink a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated during the game. Second you should get your equipment ready. Make sure there’s no mud on your cleats, so you won’t trip or fall during a play. Also make sure your shin pads are dry otherwise it will feel weird when your running. One of the most important things is to make sure your jersey and socks are clean. If they aren’t, they will smell bad and will probably be wet which will be uncomfortable. Thirdly NEVER EVER play video games, computer games, or watch TV before a game because it would just get you tired and make you lazy. Some people on my old soccer team don’t follow this rule and weren’t energetic during the game. Finally, you should be at the field ready to go an hour early so you won’t be rushed. Good luck at the big game.
Persuasive Paragraph

Rep soccer is better than house league. House league would be categorized as “fun” and rep would be categorized as “competitive”. House league is supposed to be for kids, young adults, or adults who want a hobby or to play a sport with some friends maybe even for exercise. House league is also supposed to be for development to get up to the rep level. Rep on the other hand is meant for kids, young adults, or adults who want to either develop more or who are passed the house league level or need more of a challenge. Personally I would want to enter house league for the first time and get better from there, because if you go straight into rep you are required to know how to play soccer. If you are more of a veteran and know how to play soccer I would defiantly suggest rep. Overall if you are a beginner I would suggest house league, but if you are a veteran who knows how to play soccer I would suggest rep.
