My Travelling Experience

by: Raquel Chacon

When going into Central America the best airline to use is “Air Mexicana”. The planes look wide and long as big as a survey of houses! Its wings stretch about ten times the size of you. It resembles to a mechanical bird. The only way to tell its not is by noticing the blue and red stripes at the side of the planes. In big and bold lettering, “Air Mexicana” is written between. When stepping inside the plane you’ll see blue velvet seats. They are split into two sections. In each aisle of the sections there are three seats cramped together. The best part is finally getting to sit in your seats and ready to leave. You can do that comfortably on “Air Mexicana”.

Descriptive Paragraph: Air Mexicana’s Planes

I think its best to travel by plane. When travelling by plane there is so much luxury! You get to buy your own breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. It’s not the most delicious meals, but at least you can eat consistently! If you’re driving to your destination you can’t rest! On a plane, the flight attendants give you a pillow and blanket so you can sleep. When you’re on a train you get bored, of staring out of a window. On a plane they entertain you by playing a movie or you can listen to music. Travelling by plane is definitely the most efficient and exciting means of transportation, which is why it is my favourite way to travel.

Persuasive Paragraph: Travelling by plane is the way to go

Once your plane has landed to your destination there is so much you need to do. First you’ve got to wait for the flashing seatbelt sign to turn off. There will be a sign after the plane is in position for people to leave. Next you have to remember to bring your carry-on bags. If not you could forget you basic travelling things you kept in that small bag in the luggage compartment. When you’re travelling in a group, it’s best to wait for each other outside the plane. It is always better to travel in a group, just so you won’t get lost. If you’ve packed a large suit case you have to wait for it in the arrival area. After getting your luggage you have to show your passport to the airport security guard. This is to ensure that you a citizen of the place you’ve arrived at. Finally, once gone through all these steps, you can leave the airport on your great vacation.

Expository Paragraph: Steps to do after your plane’s landed and you’ve reached your destination

About a year and a half ago, on December 4th, 2009 I travelled to Guatemala. I went with my three sisters and my parents. We went to Pearson airport in Toronto for our departure. It was close to Christmas so we were going to visit my parents’ families. We were so enthusiastic; I just wanted to jump on the plane! My father has a mother, 9 sisters, one brother, and a whole bunch of nieces along with countless nephews. We have an even bigger family when you include my mom’s side. There must be 30 or more relatives to meet! Once on the plane I was dying of anticipation, but we still had 4 more hours on another plane! It was worth the wait, because arriving back to my root country was fantastico!
